How much does a yard of concrete weigh?

A typical yard of concrete weighs about 3700 pounds. This weight is broken down into a few different categories- aggregates, cement and water- with cement being the main contributor to overall weight for an individual bag.

The majority of the weight comes from aggregate which can take up to 60% of the total mass. Each part contributes differently per bag because not all yards have the same ratio of each ingredient.
