what are business days

In the United States, a business day is any day of the week except Saturday, Sunday, or any day which is a federal legal holiday.

For example, on Weekdays Monday through Friday are all considered Business Days and on Weekends Saturday and Sunday are both considered non-business days.

Some types of businesses work six days per week such as movie theaters while others only work five days per week – generally most retail stores usually also have variations depending upon if they are in an area that observes Daylight Savings Time (DST) or not.
